Jan. 13, 2012 - Over half the available rooms reserved for Canadian Rental Mart attendees are booked, well ahead of the March 6 and 7 show date. Show organizers are encouraging out-of-town visitors to book soon to take advantage of special Rental Mart rates. Discount rates expire Feb. 3.
The show's accommodation partner is the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels, located right across the road from the Rental Mart venue at the Toronto Congress Centre. The DoubleTree is especially convenient for show attendees because the morning seminars will be held there, as well as the CRA banquet and awards on the Tuesday night.

Jan. 9, 2011 - Canadian Rental Mart show organizers have announced the 2012 edition, March 6 and 7 at the Toronto Congress Centre, has sold out the exhibition floor. The sellout comes almost two months before the actual date of the show. Over 40,000 square feet of show floor divided into almost 200 booth spaces has been sold to 93 exhibitors, making this show the biggest in 15 years. Show sales manager, Ed Cosman, said "If we get any more, we will have to put them out in the parking lot. Selling out this early is a clear testament to the strength of our industry and its suppliers. It is an exciting outcome for me and for the show, and I think it shows excitement is building in the rental community as well." The exhibitor list and show schedule is available online at the Canadian Rental Mart website. Sponsorship opportunities, including sponsorship of the national ROOTY award, are still available.
Nov. 21, 2011 - The Canadian Rental Association has confirmed Bryan Baeumler, host of HGTV's Disaster DIY, will be making an appearance at the Canadian Rental Mart to sign posters, award the first-ever ROOTY award and attend the CRA Ontario's banquet immediately following the show on the first day, Tuesday, March 6. The announcement follows CRA's signing of Baeumler to another contract to act as the association's spokesman through 2012. Baeumler has appeared in a series of short commercials telling viewers about RentalHQ, a portion of the CRA website where users can search for CRA members in their areas. He also plugs renting in his shows, Disaster DIY, last season’s House of Bryan and the upcoming House of Bryan II. In 2011, Baeumler made appearances at some association events and at the CRA’s booth at the ARA’s Rental Show. Oct. 5, 2011 - The second seminar at the Canadian Rental Mart, March 6 and 7, 2012, at the Toronto Congress Centre, has been announced. Mark Peart, dealer sales representative for G.C. Duke Equipment, will discuss ways to make lawn and garden rentals more profitable through better promotion, training and customer service.
Peart has been selling lawn and garden equipment out of Burlington, Ont., for the last 15 years. He has also spent time in western Canada representing the same type of products. He was instrumental in developing G.C. Duke's Ontario and western Canada dealer network for landscaping and rental equipment. His product lines include Ryan, Lawn Solutions, Brown and Giant Vac. Prior to joining G.C. Duke he managed a lawn care Franchise in the Hamilton, Ont., area, and prior to that he worked in agricultural sales and marketing.
